If I get 17 inch wheels that weight 18 pounds a piece is this going to slow down my acceloration?

on a 6GC?... if you have the stock motor, be it a 5S-FE or 7A-FE, yah... your acceloration will suck a lot MORE weaker than what it already is with bigger/heavier rims. but it will make your 6GC look alot MORE better that what it already is. i've got 17's on mine and i've already accepted the fact that my car will just have to look good before i can go fast.
