Generally theres no room for the stock airbox in the swap. I think you'll be quite alright with a short ram. Remember you have a hot turbo after the intake.

What are some good short ram intakes then? I was looking at the HKS super power flow intake kit. Does anyone know if the HKS intake kit will fit the 3SGTE? if HKS does what is the part#?

Thanks for the help smile.gif

um,,, well i had no problem whatsoever with the stock air box (5th gen swap into 6th gen ST at200) but i took it off to replace it with a K&N FIPK kit. fits fine. the real question is who makes a decent replement for the stock rubber intake piping.

Ok other then the Air intake. Can anyone tell me more about the air to air Intercooler? How do I feed cold air to the intercool to cool the turbo? will the old hood work? or should I find a new hood with vents? Will water get into the air intake and intercooler if the hood has big vents to feed cool air to the turbo and intake?

you need to ditch the TMIC and get a good FMIC
the top mount NEEDS a scoop to even function.
and even then, theres a reason the alltrac owners call it a "interwarmer"
lmao

Yes, because I have one on my car. Don't know the part number though.

More, "it's on my car, therefore it certainly fits".....

Sounds louder. Not had a dyno, so no idea if it adds any performance.
