So I Washed my car up and took it to the shop to have a look at the damage winter has caused, and theres some nice new rust on the bottom of my doors, and a tiny little patch on my rear fender. Thats sucks. SO i say hey, how much would it cost to get it fixed up. I don't know what he said other than $1000. ****, i can't afford that, (mostly because i just bought springs and rims/tires). But i also can't stand seeing the rust. I'm wondering if i can fix it myself, how much do you think it would cost then?? (materials wise, i would just do the body work, and pay to get it painted.) Keep in mind, i haven't got the first idea of how to do bodywork.

itl be cheap, just sand down the area, until you get rid of all of the rust, then spray on some rust protecting primer, dont wait to do this because as soon as the metal is bare, it is bare and any time delay im the sanding and priming will cause some rust to start, even if it is only a day or 2

yeah, I think pretty much just sand it good... then primer and then paint it when you got the money...
