Yea well so much for going to Island Fest tomorrow (sunday). I can't start my car!!!! The alarm (viper) is going nuts! It won't turn off unless I leave the key in it... and I can't disable it (the kill switch doesn't work).
Does anybody know anything about alarms and stuff? I had to get a ride from my neighbor to work today at 6am and I work an hour away (nice neighbor). I don't care if I have to cut wires, just get it started!! PS It is a viper alarm that also locks/unlocks the doors. Thanks ! |

haha, take it back to were you got it installed, most places have a warranty on their work.
the alarm logic is pretty simple you probably need wiring diagram/schematics of the box if you want to do it yourself. Go to the alarms website and see if you can dl the manual. |

For my Viper alarm, to disable it, you need to have the key in and turned to the ON position and then use the valet switch to turn it off. When the alarm is off/valet mode, the alarm LED will be on solid.

Tried EVERYTHING you guys suggested... car is bugging out!!! Tried new batteries, new car battery, the valet switch... everything.
I'm getting her towed to the Viper place first thing Monday morning because I can't even get her into neutral to push it into the garage!!!!! Just a side note... don't EVER let anyone tow your car by regular tow truck... request a FLATBED!! I blew two tires in March and when AAA towed my car, they fastened something wrong and crushed in the wheel wells and scratched the **** out of the car. When I went there with my guy friends and demanded they fix it, they freakin spray-painted it and its still all dented. The same thing happened to my friend's GTI and they refused to fix it. Beware of tow trucks (although I hope nobody ever has to get towed) And thanks for the suggestions! |

Ok, I'm the world's biggest retard. I HAD A DEAD BATTERY!!!! Once I got jumped, the alarm was fine, it was freaking out because the battery wasn't strong enough to make it work properly or something.
What's the best kind of new battery to get? I jumped mine, but I need a new battery anyway, this one is a few years old. Recommendations greatly appreciated. And yes GT2GT4 I am going to contact AAA. Thanks |
