recently saw some stuff about HIR bulbs on another forum and was curious if anyone has ever tried putting them in the stock reflector headlights of the 6gc?
was just curious if i could expect results like these if i put them in our headlamps (left stock right HIR): how are the these compared to other bulbs like silverstars? they are about $60/pair and last about 1000hrs(low-beam) or 255hrs(hi-beam) or so... do you mean HID or HIR? I personally never heard of HIR's but there are HID kits for our cars, they are pretty much always below $300 and they look more like the left side of the image since there not from the factory its not gonna give you that perfect straight line. you can get them in whatever kelvin you want, from 4500k (i think is the lowest i've seen) to like 15000k

I'm talking about HIR BULBS not HID... they are around 3500Kelvin-3600Kelvin i think... the 9011/9012 can be trimmed to fit the 9005/9006 sockets on our cars and put out about 1700lumens(lowbeam)/2500(hibeam)lumens
in the picture, the right is the HIR This post has been edited by elvasoshexai: Mar 23, 2006 - 10:58 AM -------------------- |
