so, im intalks with my parents about keepin the celica..its 60/40 right now..60% im keepin it..40% im not...so i figure if i keep it, with my new job, im gonna have some $ to pay around with..so im thinkin of gettin a front lip of some sorts, no sides..like the body lines as is..and im thinkin of gettin a rear lip. I like the body lines of the celica as is, so im thinkin of somethin to play off thouse lines. I was checkin out the parts data base and i found this rear lip from Gangs Jail

IPB Image

i like it, well..minus the plate relocation. It covers the side nicely, witch is good cuz the only reason i wanna get a rear lip is to hide my exhaust piping/muffler from sticking out like a sore thumb. What do you guys think?

its really really hard to make a car look good with body modifications without side skirts, they are like the first step in my opinion.

i just dont like side skirts except the OEM ones..plus i have a freshly painted car and i dont wanna get rid of that. If i get this rear its not gonna be moulded..or i might mould it cuz the guys who painted my car forgot 2 add flex agent to the paint and the rear bumper is cracked already. Thats why im goin with just a lip on the front and back.

Keep the body stock if your not going to put sideskirts on. With that rear and no sides your car will look rediculous.

It doesnt look too bad.
Im not a fan of the afterburner or whatever they are called
and the relocation of the number plate.

maybe you should email them about that plate relocation because that lip would look good imo.

That rear seem very cool, but i agree that you need to install sideskirts, even the oem for gt-four!
I have order this rear bumper and i would like to hear your opinion!

Bumper is nice,

Not sure about the wheelbarrow handles though...
wink.gif

Some how OEM's seem to know best on where/how many tail pipes.
BMW M3.... yep, seems good with 2x3" either side
1.1L 86' golf with badly fitted body kit... 4 pipes is just wrong laugh.gif

I agree, but i dont think so that 2x3'' pipes are too much for a swapped gt-four. In the photo, the left pipe is fake but i have diferrent plans about it.. Both pipes will be working of course and they have to take care of a decent horsepower, so i dont think that anyone will say that it is wrong...
OEM knows better how many pipes should a celica have but a lot of celicas have 50+ % horsepower than the oem engine, so you have to think about a totally different exaust system to take care of the extra power that the engine produces.. In my case, except from the extra hp that i ve got, I have also removed the catalytic converter so the pressure from the exaust gas is too high for a simple muffler. So, in order to avoid the uptake, to minimize the flames and of course to keep the db low, i have to split the rear tube to a twin muffler, or better to different mufflers. I am sure that when my project will be finished you will love the hand made rear exhaust system and mabe you will change your mind about the two different mufflers. I believe that at least in my case, i will have a gain of +15 hp with this system. Lets hope that the dyno will agree with that!! smile.gif smile.gif

Agreed, if you need to get rid of the gass then go ahead.

You Us guys peobably won't know the ford Ka, but here in UK it's a popular runaround cheap small car.
They have now released a sport version, but before that I had one and wanted more power (only comes with a 1.3)
so I got a turbo conversion for that, on the rollers it went from 56bhp to 86bhp... I know you're all laughing and saying what's th point but I liked the car shape and it handled great.
My point is that removing the CAT and replacing it with a much biger one from a 1.7 ford, plus upgrading to 2 1/4" exhaust all the way put the 86bhp up to 96bhp, a considerable difference by just geting rid of the extra gas.

If you need a big pipe, get one!
My problem is with the stuck on jobbie on the left of that photo that isn't even linked up!

Rant over. smile.gif
