just did an oil change on my '4' and and checked the tag in my engine bay from when i had the last service !

39,000 km ago !!!!!! yes i've given her three oil changes and a new air filter....

but still 40k and no sirvice and still running sweet... how many other engine could do that i ask??????

(and before any one comments, yes i know.... this is not how i should treat my '4' but life doesn't always go as planed.......)

I hope 39,000 km translates into 3,000 miles... because I know you can't be that negligent to your GT-4...

39 000 kilometers = 24 233.4765 miles

3,000 miles is actually incredibly modest, most manufacturers dont even recommend oil for 5-6 thousand miles and some bmw's are like 10-15k between oil changes lol

wow, 24375 miles without an oil change.

39000 km is about 24375 MILES wink.gif So yea, close to 3K miles lmao biggrin.gif

holy crap... 24k miles without an oil change?! that's like almost 2 1/2 years worth. craziness.

edit... 24 divided by 3 is still like 8k miles before an oil change. no as crazy as 24k, but toyota engines are still awesome. now only if my 7a was faster....

With my 3S-GE I replace the oil every 4500 miles. With the swap i think i will do it every 3500 miles.

maybe hes using synthetic oil? they got that crap where you go 15k miles before changing oil.

of course i'm using a synthetic oil for a turbo car.....
Castrol XTX is the norm' and about every 10k is about right !

normal oil just don't cut it with turbo's........
