Hi Hi everybody.
My question is:
Can I drop down engine 5sfe from celica 99 .
Is it possible at all.
Don’t have anything to pick it up.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

It's actually easier to drop it for me but you'll still need to support it with a jack and then you'll need an engine hoist or 3-4 very strong friends to lift the car up and overr the engine. wink.gif

Its a safety feature so that people like you don't end up killing themselves or everyone around them.

This is how they take engines out at work (toyota dealership). Instead of dealing with a cherry picker, they just unbolt the cross member and motor mounts and drop the motor, trans, axles, hubs and shocks as one thing. It makes things easier in a shop environment when you have a lift to use. But at home it would probably be pretty tricky when reinstalling everything back into the car with just a floor jack or two.
