Well I got the cusco's on last night and had it aligned today.. still -3.5* off on the front.. so I gained 1* from those things.. I wish it was more..

just adding my unofficial statement
![]() tein coilovers GST86-B1SS4 (with upper mounts) applicable on: ST202 (JDM SS-II) ST202 (European GT) ST202 (European Convertible) ST204 (US/CND GT-S) tein coilovers DSL36-KUSS2 (w/o upper mounts) applicable on: ST202 (JDM SS-I) ST203 (JDM SS-I) ST202 (JDM Convertible) ST203 (JDM Convertible) AT200 (European ST) - my one AT200 > (US/CND ST) ST204 (US/CND GT) ST204 (US Convertible) now... I have decided put my money to prove my theory: ''although GST86-B1SS4 kit is for ST202s only it will fit on my AT200 as well because it's just DSL36-KUSS2 kit with upper mounts'' -------------------- No more replicas... This is evolution... This is SS-four :)

The DSL36-KUSS2 set I have on my Celica currently was listed for an AT200 model, which would mean that if the GST86-B1SS4 kit fits your AT200, then theoretically, the GST86-B1SS4 kit would fit on the ST204c models then as well I believe. -------------------- |

That means my AT200 has the same part number for shocks as ST204c. And according to TEIN parts list should be used DSL36-KUSS2 (kit w/o upper mounts). All US ''sport package'' models has the same part number for shocks as JDM 3SGE models... for JDM 3SGE models TEIN recommends using GST86-B1SS4 (kit with upper mounts)... So I have asked some people about celica stock suspension. Everyone I have asked said: "all mcperson shocks for 6gen celis are compatible... you can use both on your car". That's why I have ordered GST86-B1SS4 not DSL36-KUSS2 kit for me to prove it... I'll post everything when I have them home in special topic. End of story for now ![]() -------------------- No more replicas... This is evolution... This is SS-four :)

So from what i've read, these will raise the height of your ride about an inch or so (or could just be the settling in stage..didn't see any confirmation) But would these be okay if i were to install them with KYB shocks w/ tein springs? Can anyone confirm if they keep the risen height?

The advantage of pillow ball mounts is nothing to do with being able to set camber, thats just an unrelated feature thats added on some pillow ball mounts.
The goodness of them is in the name, the pillow ball! your stock mounts are rubber, and allow the strut to move around under impact, good for comfort, bad for locating the strut and directing the loads to where they should go. using a bearing keeps the suspension geometry more stable during cornering, allowing your springs/struts to work more effectivly. if your using coilovers stock rubber mounts essentially become a wobbly joint between the suspension and the car, if you've ever driven a car with worn suspension bushes then you'll get the idea. |
