i think it should fit with no problem. but you have to buy both the bumper and hood or you'll have a lil gap. and i think you have to modify your latch a lil, or was that for something else... not sure.

I too heard that it will fit on, It is something I was wanting to do myself. To get the bumper and hood I was going to try and trawl through a few wreckers hopefully there should be a GT-4 that has been tail ended.
Good Luck |

$1200 in parts. There is a sticky on this. The front ends of all 6gc's are the same (hatch, coupe, convertible) so any front end stuff works that works with one, will work with the others.

stu, read the JDM part # sticky at the top of this forum.
you need more than just the hood and bumper. there are a bunch of little parts that go with it. the gt-4 front end will fit any 6gc celica. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

QUOTE(Rayme @ Apr 4, 2006 - 3:23 PM) Is there some parts that are optionnal? Like the foam bumper, and some retainers... I would reccommend getting all the parts. The gt-4 crash bar and mounting brackets are tricky to find. You can saw down the stock crash bar to fit too, but the real gt-4 one will give much more support in an accident. Also, if you don't get the crash bar, its a pain in the neck getting the gt-4 fogs to work. Get all the other parts reccommended, it makes it a lot easier. The seals are neccesary. If you want pics, let me know. Also, getting the gt-4 hood latch can save you some work. Otherwise, you had better be good at welding, or know someone who is, who can extend the stock hood latch. It takes a bit of work, but if you want, I can send you pics. You can get the hood to close with the stock hood latch, but it only latches just barely, and the backup safety latch won't work (Normally, you pop the hood from inside, then you have to release the emergency latch from under the hood, that one won't work.) -------------------- psalm 69 |

I'd like picture, theres so many misc parts, I'm making a list cause I really want to make that conversion. I'm not concerned really with having all the necessary parts, If I can do stuff cheaper and it still looks good and its safe, I'll do it the cheaper way. I mean foam is easy to cut to make it fit under the new bumper...lil stuff like that.
On my fifth gen I got away with buying the bumper only for the GT4/CS bumper conversion. I modified the bumper to make it fit over the stock crash bar. And the bumper was only holding from the sides and top...it was quite solid, if you ask, and looked, well stock! But after some reading I realised its way more complicated with the 6th gen . -------------------- -Rémy 02 SiR, 08 250R |

so, i guess it'd work if you got a gt4 bumper and say a CF hood or something similar, cos ST205's are rare as hell in australia, so it'd be easier for me to go aftermarket
