I have a question for some experienced electrical people. I was driving around yesterday and smoke started comming out of the heater vents, here are the known symptoms:

-Entire instrument cluster is dead
-Power windows are dead

+Door locks, mirrors, lights, and a/c work

-problem is in the cab of the car, positive nothing happened in the engine compartment
I think it is comming from somewhere on the passenger side of the car benhind the glove box (where there is a whole bunch of sealed containers)

Does anyone know of a chip or module which controls these functions?

Thank you very much
