hey

ive tried searching for a few days about the steps involved in putting on a wrc style spoiler onto a 1996 celica but i couldnt find any, so i hope this isnt a repeat.

i am having trouble deciding what to do about this "spike" in the spoiler, (i dont know how to list a pict so i have added one to my profile, i have outlined the "spike") should i just shave it off or drill a hole for it in the raiser blocks??

Also, how do i know where to drill the holes in my boot to fit the 1994 spoiler with raiser blocks? I have a three post spoiler and the holes are different for the two post spoiler.

Is it right that i only need to drill two holes in my boot to fit the new spoiler with raiser blocks?

For the "spike" in the spoiler, you should drill a small hole into each rasier block, as for your other questions, im kinda confused about your wording.....

I got some replica blocks made of fibre glass and i was wondering if this drilling will weaken the blocks?

It wont weaken the blocks, its just a small hole in each one for the little "nub". Dont worry about it, as for your wing.......you need a 2 post spoiler. When you do have a 2 post wing, toyota (in all their wisdom) left 2 little dips on the wing where you have to drill to screw the blocks to the wing. Its really simple and easy, just make sure you use the right size screws.

I have attached the raiser blocks to the spoiler with the two screws in the dips you mentioned. Do i need to glue the spoiler and the raiser blocks together because it doesnt seem that strong and seems like the fibre glass blocks will break, especially if im going 180kms/hr
