At least in Greece, you can get one! If you have not certificates of the manifacturer that your body kit is approved for road use, you will have to remove them. Thats why i use only toyota body kit, so i have no problem with the inspection! |

yeah, in cali they're pretty much common. especially with civics and what-not. i think the only illegal thing is neon lights under the car. and the obstruction of rear view thing with the spoiler.

Wasn't there someone that had an Evo that got a ticket for his stock wing, as the officer claimed that it was too high? I believe a link to an Evo forum about that incident was posted on here about a year or so ago.

you can get a ticket if the body kit/ wing/ w/e is properly installed or in bad maintenance. and if you are at a meet and it gets rolled and the popo starts handing out fix it tickets you will get one for almost any modification on your car because they will find a way to make it illegal. the thing you have to remember is, if a cop wants to give you a ticket he will

It depends on the laws of your state, they vary greatly in terms of what you can & can't do to your car.
Living in Illinois is probably the worst, they're really strict about smog, tint, and noise. In fact, the town I live in has a noise ordinance - if they hear your system within 50 feet, it's a $500 ticket and possibilty of an impound. |

In Hawaii, they call it recon tickets. It covers everything that isn't stock on your car so... front bumper kit, sides, rear bumper, drop, and anything else. If we want it to be legal and not get a ticket, we have to pay for recon fees. So most people just try to avoid cops and not pay recon fees. So pretty much if you have a full kit and a "complete car" you could rack up 10 tickets at a time easily.
