3sgte swaps, Transmissions Options

Ok, I have a 94' ST and if I get a 3sgte engine(just the engine), wut tranny should I use exactly for that engine because every 3sgte I find comes with awd and rwd trannys and I have no use for those trannys kuz my car is fwd. I read a discussion posted on this b4 but I didnt really get it (lol). Thanx guys once again!!!

u shouldnt get just the engine get the front clip of a celica. u can either use a 94-99 gt celica tranny or an mr2. all the info you are looking for is here just search it or look in the general discussion section. there are stickys with the things u need to know. try this http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=28825

I twould probably be a whole lot easier just to get the tranny you want whether the camry v6, mr2, GT (5s), etc. There are several topics that have covered this. I belive you could also get the AWD tranny with the clip, take the plate from the MR2, and cover the tranfer case on the AWD and with other changes make it work for you. I would suggest doing the research and getting the one you want from the get....
