How did u paint them? -John I tried that (painting white bulbs to red), but effect was desperate... Paint burned and bulbs shine pink-white color... So I wish to find red LED's with sufficient illumination and diffusion effect to light gauges uniformly... (oh and of course be able to buy them in CZ... p.s.: availability in all common japanese or american supermarkets is not interesting for me ) -------------------- No more replicas... 194 is the size of the bulb found at any auto part store, just look for red, take out your green capped bulbs in the guage and put in the red

Here we call those bulbs W5W . I tried to buy any color, but approachable here are normal (white-yellow shine), "cool blue" (bright white shine) and orange only QUOTE(Celica_Kid95st @ Mar 22, 2006 - 5:25 PM) Did u paint the numbers? -John Yes, numbers are painted too... (bright white bulb (that "silver vision" from philips) and numbers+needles paint red) This post has been edited by malpaso: Mar 23, 2006 - 2:28 AM -------------------- No more replicas... i painted mine using Krylon Fusion. They are made for plastic and they do not need any sanding or prepping. This was ideal cus I did not want to prep it and damage it. So all you need to do is paint even layers of red. The only hard part is masking.
