Haha... I think this is cool...

My car is getting a reputation at school and I dont even drive to school... how fun is that? People seen it on my myspace and by seeing me drive around my small ass town... I just think thats awesome, cuz I cant wait to see the look on their faces when I throw my car in the end of the year car show...

By then I'll have my look complete with my rims, and my exhaust... and maybe a few other lil goodies, but we'll see...

But yeah... Its awesome knowing that feeling that your becoming recognized... maybe in a werid sorta way, since your being recognized for what you drive, but its still cool

Any of you have any similar situations like that?

Back when I got my Celica, I was the only one in town with one. The first day I drove it to school some kid asked me "Where did you get the Supra?"

Then some B*tch snotty A$$ girl went out and got a Celi. Black like mine. Looked identical.. then she had the nerve to park next to me every day...

But then I got my rims and exhaust and now everyone knows whos got the better one....me.

I get a lot of rubber-neckers when I drive by, little kids, high schoolers, adults.. everyone. It's nice.

Basically, around the high school (even though I'm not in high school anymore) my car is known as "that-car-with-the-gold-rims-that-looks-like-a-supra"

To buy japanese car like celica here is not quite usual. Many people here spend $8000 more effectively (than buying 8 year old car with less space on back seats) like buying 2-3 years old car like Skoda, VW, Renault, Peugeot, Ford etc. (some thing like this). In addition to buy some sport parts for japanese car is hard (extremely high price if you find it). VW Golf and Skoda are wide-spread tuned cars here so market is focused to this brand... To see celica here is "red-letter day occassion" and openly 6gen GT four I saw only single one piece here for sale! And (for example) I belive in Czech Republic is nobody with "beams" engine at all... and I belive I'm the only one with JDM tails and SS-III splitters here . So... I feel really unique

yeah i had a rep at school. I was the only girl with a modded car so alot of the guys were haters or would rev at me. Had one guy flick me off everytime he saw me. He even had plans to steal my car. Now were friends and everything is cool. Had another guy rev his engine at me everytime i passed him. He still does!

but ill go places and not even be near my car and people will be like "hey your that girl with that celica?"

Its really fun!

congrat babe...when i had my celica, my buddy aslo had his s14, him and i would park at the end of the parking lot in highschool...everyone knew we were the car guys..didn't care cause we went to a rich prick high school were 8/10 kids drove bmws and esclades. but me and my buddy were those 2...gosh i miss those days

lol, i recongnize this to 100% just recently heard that my car has got a reputation to be the hottest one in school =).
sometimes when i take the car on my way home from a bus station (yes, i take the bus occationally), just next to a school, there is about 100-150 ppl standing around waiting to go home, start it up and see all these faces just turn around watching as i cruise by , i've gotta take a pic of that sometime....

ooh and two weeks ago a chick came up to me and asked if i could give her a ride in my car,
"emmm sure.....i guess"
it was a bit akward but she was happy

i pretty sure people don't just recognize you from your car. and i know you're car will be the hottest one at the show. as for me... i didn't have my celica back in high school. i've seen 3 other celicas at my college and mine's definitely the sexiest one. and it definitely turns heads when i drive. and i've gotten the supra compliments too. i love it.

My senior year in high school, I entered my car into the car show.. It never looked more beautiful. It was clean and waxed up very nicely. I entered into the sound contest and thought I'd even try entered into the 'best of show newer than 1985' category. I ended up winning both of them (got the trophies to prove it!)! For the rest of the year, my car was known as "that black toyota that won the car show"

But it is a kind of rewarding feeling to have positive recognition for your car. It seems for every 1 good compliment, there are about 75 bad comments for my car where I live (which is predominantly older domestics that are rusting through, but have their flowmasters)

i dont think anybody in either city i live in would notice my car. they just dont care that much around here. I on the other hand only know people by what they drive. i dont know names but i know cars.

specially cuz the vert is so rare up here... and cuz i'm a girl in a modded car... i always get attention for it....

sometimes from some real trailer trash though, it scares me... crazy boys hollerin at me out the sides of old cavaliers... ahhhhhhhhhh

yup, gotta say that my car has to be probably the most well-known at my school, partly because I've had it since 9th grade, and the Girls like the top down:D. Also known as the "Car guy of the car guys" lol, since I run my own little "garage", everybody comes to me. Its fun!

yah... people like my car... but when you park next to brand new bmw's, mercedes, audi's, and jaguars at school everyday the celica usually gets looked over

Havent had the this feeling yet since I havent drove my Celica to school yet.. Actually I use to drive my 5GC. Everyone thought it was mean and fast.. I kept on telling them its slow as crap (auto GT). I had people telling me it was an AWD version (they play toooo much GranTurismo lol) because it had some wide and fat tires. Others always want to me to rev it since it had a muffler... and about 10-15 people were telling me it was turbo'ed because it had a cone filter.

In my school a celica isnt much to look at now.. theres an IS300, 7GC, Cooper S, Lots of Honda/Acura with the usual lowered,rims,muffler etc mods... and a dark blue 6GC.. Hopefully by my senior year (next year) It will look very original. Im planning on putting some TC wheels, front/rear lip and skirts. For all I know my brother wants to make the 7A in to a GE.. since he has 2 bigport 4AGE's lol

lol i pulled up to my highschool(grad in 05) to fix somethuing for a teacher and a guy that was in one of my slasses said "whoa, when did you get this?" i said"it's my g/f's" he said is an eclipse?? have you ever seen an eclipse with 4 headlights?.....WHOA you did that?....DUDE! it's a celica!......PSH i dont know hondas.....it's toyota dickweed.....same thing....psh!
that was the basic conversation.. this kid considers himself a car guy and is now a senior. even if he doesnt like imports COME ON! I used to get uber head turning in highschool but now not really. mostly old people, i guess they think i'm a damn race car kid..LOL

i had the coolest car in school haha pretty pathetic, once i put the kit on i had to take up 2 parking spots and get yelled at for that every day, couldnt trust nobody when ur car is famous, its funny my friend has a kitted and done up eclipse and one day we brought a red velvet rope and roped off our cars lol people were like wtf
