QUOTE(TheStreetzKing @ Apr 15, 2006 - 11:43 PM) tina needs a camber kit and shes on eibachs, so i would put it on exactly. I have the same springs and i got the same alignment kit. had it put in this weekend. I suggested it because my camber was WAY off. This helped a lot, along with the alignment and balancing. Better safe then sorry. could someone please remind me of the difference between jealousy and envy? i don't know which i'm feeling right now
![]() ![]() what i really envy (or am jealous of) is the Sportline springs. let us know how the install goes and the effect on the ride (too stiff, bearable or just right). -------------------- ![]() |

ok heres some fun news! the shop that is putting in my springs called me about a half hour ago. Some linkage between my swayarms and my struts were broken in the back, and its gonna cost me $210 in parts to fix it.
![]() edit: shop called, all installed, but no alignment ![]() And I called a place that does the alignments for lowered cars....$80 per hour, and he estimates it will take 3 hours. And I couldnt get an appointment till MAY 2nd! OMG This is such a hassle. This post has been edited by devilsden97: Apr 21, 2006 - 3:47 PM -------------------- ![]() Kawi Love |

QUOTE ok heres some fun news! the shop that is putting in my springs called me about a half hour ago. Some linkage between my swayarms and my struts were broken in the back, and its gonna cost me $210 in parts to fix it. Doing some math, with help from someone else (cuz i couldnt bear to type it all into the calculator) the running total thus far is $1688.25 and that doesnt include there labor charge, which i dont know what it will be yet, and a $100 alignment. I figure $2,000 in the end. all to lower the car 1.5inches all around and put some rims on it....yeah not worth it, this will be my last mod, for a while. edit: shop called, all installed, but no alignment Cost: $480 Total so Far: $2,168.50 And I called a place that does the alignments for lowered cars....$80 per hour, and he estimates it will take 3 hours. Its the sway bar end links...they dont go bad or break. But they do get jacked up when you try to take them off... Im willing to bet that THEY messed them up trying to get them off because they do get rusted and you have to work them off very slowly. Those endlinks costs 50$ each and there is one on each side in the rear. This is one reason why i do all the work myself. You can do a spring install in about 4hrs with normal tools...and if you messed up the endlinks doing it then oh well at least you learned something.

well got everything installed on saturday. Had a wake on sunday, and a funeral monday, so no pics yet. I think i have to bring the car back to the people who balance my tires and scream, cuz between 60 and 65mph the steering wheel jiggles back and forth really fast. (i figure that the tires werent balanced correctly) Im fairly annoyed by this, but still in good spirits, hopefully some pictures soon.

QUOTE(bufferdan @ May 1, 2006 - 9:31 AM) PIcs? yeah sorry, im gonna try and get some nice pics like with a hot back round and stuff, been really busy. Lots went on last week. uh...also question, when i go over 60mph, my wheel shakes/vibrates. Its either the balane of the rims, or the alignment. But which would u say it is? Suggestions? Take it back to the same place and tell them that they did it wrong, and have they redo it, or bring it some where else and have them rebalance the rims, and see if it was that, or the alignment. oh and for the pics, im thinking of going to a bank near me, it has a pretty open parking lot, and there is an IBM complex in back and when the suns going down, it looks way cool. Ill see if i can get into the complex and take pics, idk cant wait! -------------------- ![]() Kawi Love |

Wheels have to be off balance..take it back and tell them it shakes now and to rebalance them. Did you get hubcentric rings? If you dont have them that could be the problem also.

If you dont have them that could be the problem also. well ill do that, but they came with a ring in them, but there was a sticker that says "this whell is supplied with an installed centering ring., the centering ring may not be retained in this wheel if you change wheels. If this wheel is remoed you must also rmove the centerin rin from the ehicle bub befor instaling your spare tire or any different wheel." Then thers more with a phone number and blah blah ...the people at the place took them out/off, and gave me them and the C-clips that hooked them in....could that be the problem? Good thing im a pack rat, cuz most people probally woulda tossed thos out. -------------------- ![]() Kawi Love |

You can do it yourself if you want by removing them and putting the rings on and torqueing the lugs down even
