Psst... just wondering if anyone has removed theirs? I know it's probably illegal and all, but not all cars have ugly orange reflectors on the sides of their vehicles, and I have amber turn signals/lens on my front bumper, plus there's like a handful of 6th gens in my city so I'm sure no one would notice anyway.
I'm talking about the hole on the fender: Here are some other pics: Lord that car looks hideous without a spoiler lol This post has been edited by ScoobyDood: Apr 14, 2006 - 4:20 PM -------------------- |

People remove those all the time, if you can make it look good without the sidemarkers then go for it. No one should notice, and i dont even think its illegal.

It's not illegal as long as you still have your front sidemarkers.

Shave it, shave it all, there is so much they put on cars that you can take off.
I shaved side markers, 3rd brake light, rear wiper, all 3 squiters, antenna, and unbolted the front wipers. DTE -------------------- I am a thief.

How do you shave it yourself? Or this is something normal people can't do and has to bring it to a shop...

You can buy an aftermarket windshield that has an antenna built into it, looks like two gold wires running the outside of the glass. spendy though |

tomazws - I welded up most of the wholes except the 3rd brake light, and side marker wholes. For those you have to make a filler peice of out of steel, put it in the whole, weld it in, then bondo, sand to perfection. I also should have made a filler peice for the Rear wiper, but if you take your time welding you can fill it without warping it. If you have decent body skills and are (or know) a decent welder, it shouldent take more then a few hours.
brthrurik - Those in windsheild antenna's look stupid, mine is a little 2"w, 1cm tall, 1cm deep little black box that mounts beheind my mirror, I plan on moving it to the top of the hatch glass, so even less out of sight. kash1355 - Read the upper part of this post, I wouldent reccomend fiberglass tho. blu94gt - She didnt see rain, she also never got dirty. Cutrara - Word, Rain-X is awsome. DTE -------------------- I am a thief.

I shaved my antenna the same way, by welding in a peice of sheet metal and bondoing it. I'm going to kill the sidemarkers next using the same method, but im going to put small oval ones behind the rear wheel like audi's and vw's. actually i think the gt-4 has it there as well. Also i plan on filling in the gas cap and moving it behind the license plate. That is if i can figure it out.
oh yes... i forgot. RainX = |

I like where the antenna is, i think it looks kinda cool, but im weird like that. Also i like the sidemarkers, so dont think i would wanna shave mine, i plan on re-wiring them so that they blink with the turns.
