 drum breaks? |

I just got my car but it does seem like the drum breaks on the back of my st are less then helpful. The parking break holds the car, but sure doesnt work well if I try to move it with it on. It seems like all my breaking is from the front any way I can check to see if they are working well or not? Ive never seen a bad drum break set... let alone a good. Thanks!

Well when was the last time you checked the brake shoes for the drums? Take off a back wheel and give it a look over. I dont know how well you can recognize a problem but sometimes problems can be pretty obviouse if you take the time to inspect a lil. If none of the above helps then I guess take it to a shop. I don't understand what you mean exactly. Is your car diving forward under braking as if it has no rear brakes or something?

well if you have rear drum breakes the breaking is 70 front 30rear....if you want to know if your break shoes need to be replaced...check the linning on them..the shoes might not need to be changed just adjusted.....if you don't know how to tell take it to some one that does..
