So it seems to me that everyones always talking about putting in nice sound systems in their cars, and the second they start getting technical, I'm lost. If someone with knowledge would like to put in their couple of cents, I'd really appreciate it. I don't know what sort of amp wattage should go with what subs, or if I should get an amp for me door speakers, or how to tune them, or how large of subs are just wasting my money, or what brand names are good, or if just getting a could 6x8's will work better than a sub, or how to wiring ANYTHIGN, etc, etc. Seriously, I know nothing, help me out here. =]

If you want crazy detailed and the more extreme stuff, check out http://www.bcae1.com/. They have all kinds of great stuff. Also when you find a sub/amp you may want, go check out Crutchfield.com and see what kinda reviews it gets.

Im still learning how to wire and all that, the best thing to do is find a friend who knows a thing or two, and help em install some stuff.

Lol I am that friend for all of my friends, I am kinga getting tired of installing systems now smile.gif. I did too many of them smile.gif.
Instalation is extremely simple (but some people are just not good with electronics)
To put in the new HU, just get a wire harness from walmart and match same colored wires from the harness to the deck. (one lil trick is White/blue wire is for AMPturn-on and Blue wire is for antenna turn-on)
Installing amps, well get 4ga power wire and 14ga turn on wire (blue) and run them on the driver side of the car , then RCA's should go on the passager side well at least that's how I do it.

just bring some of your favorite CDs to a car audio shop and see what sounds best for you and your taste in music.. they can work out the technical specs on their own

^^waaay too expensive. Car audio places charge a rediculous amount on labor alone.

Yea, just buy the stuff yourself after you decide what you want. installing is really easy just remember to disconnect the negative terminal on the battery or you might not have a good time afterwords
