Like what? Im intrigued to know what makes the mitsu better than the STI aside from the fact that the STI interior is crap |

Sure, you can dress them up, but polishing a turd only goes so far. If I am going to buy a $30,000+ sports car, it won't look like a boxy sedan. i agree. the cars are ugly, however, most of my time is spent driving the car, not looking at it. as long as im happy with the way the car performs, i'll put up with the fact that it is ugly. and yes, i drive a wrx, and i am perfectly ok with its ugliness QUOTE(Jeremy1210 @ Apr 25, 2006 - 12:29 PM) QUOTE(TheStreetzKing @ Apr 25, 2006 - 2:52 PM) id take an evo over an sti any day only because i watched this show in japan (the guy spoke in english) and then showed so many features of the evo that u dont normally hear about, plus they showed what it can do stock and then tuned. Like what? Im intrigued to know what makes the mitsu better than the STI aside from the fact that the STI interior is crap the JDM evo's have active yaw control. very nice feature, but the usdm evo's dont get that. other than that feature, there is no other feature that the evo has that is hidden. and again, we dont get that here in the US. the evo handles better, responds to mods better, and is cheaper to mod than an STI. aside from the weaker transmission, the EVO is definately the better performing car. also, Jeremy1210, have you been inside an evo? the interior is absolute crap. looks cheap, feels cheap, is cheap. my friends evo9 has 4k miles on it, by time he had 2k miles on it, it was already rattling everywhere. the sti interior is way better. the gauges are awesome(unlike the bland evo gauges) and the blue seats and carpet really set the STI apart from the lower model WRX's. the evo looks like a plain old lancer on the inside. the build quality of the STI interior is way better than the EVO -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition

Yeah I sat in the EVO at the NAIAS and I thought it was better looking inside than the STI. The STI seemed like it shared the same parts with Hyundai. It was not attractive and the seats weren't that comfy. My buddy thought the same. I guess its personal prefernece, but for 30k I'd want stuff that wasn't all plastic, not saying the EVO was much better

the FQ400 is a pretuned factory evo that comes with 400 AWHP. The subi guys are working out a deal with a few dealerships to have the same bundle, some guy named david burshcar is doing it.

HAhaha.....that ad cracked me up. I love the VW commercials, but thats a slap in the face. lol.
I love Subaru WRX/STi. My buddy and I have been working on his '02 and after a few light mods that thing is really quick. Very strong motor....you just have to love the flat four EJ20 they put in those, its designed for being driven hard and managing itself well, and just sounds amazing too. Before my friend got his WRX I always thought that EVO was superior, but Subaru builds those things like tanks and its much more well built than its rival. A few issues back in Sport Compact Car they had a write-up on the plant in Japan that kicks out the EVo's and its literally the same assembly line that kicks out budget-priced Lancer and Outlander SUV, all of which share the same unibody chassis. Only difference other than powertrain is the extra stitch welds they use to reinforce it all in the EVO platform. But still, it really is just an economy car with a fancy engine, suspension and nicer body parts. -------------------- 3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting. |
