I assume your tranny doesnt have LSD. Without LSD to transfer power to the other wheel we have in essence 1 wheel drive. So when your launching or trying to burn out, all of the power you have is being put down on one wheel, which is why your left is spinning or hopping.

it is like that with any car without LSD, usually the shorter axle (with us the L) is the one that spins wink.gif

Try doing the burnout in second gear. Pull the E-brake, then release it when you want to move foward.

its like that with all cars w/out lsd, indeed in the launch we have a flwd, what you need is a lsd which can be found off of a beams 6th gen celica motor, i believe its a viscous lsd

This phenomenon is called torque steer, and it is common among cars with unequal length drive shafts. Basically when you have a vehicle with unequal length drive shafts it tends to pull to one side. Since our cars have unequal length drive shafts this applies to us.

i thought torque steer is when you shift agressively and the steering wheel jumps to one side a little bit

it occurs during starts, shifts and depends on how much power you have
but like TRDST204 said its cause of unequal length drive shafts and the shorter one getting the greater power..thus pulling to the left on most occasions....basically...learn to hold you wheel really straight and/or get lsd

you'll see it more on launches then anywhere else

i have the same to say as all above^^^ look its easy to check and see if its lsd or not, jack up front end and turn one wheel forward, youll notice that the other wheel spins the opposite way, but on a lsd'ed tranny, it will go the same way you turn the wheel. ill post up a vid of me turning the tranny i have and you can see

^ Thats not an accurate way to tell if you have LSD.

The fact that his tire is spinning more than the other is proof enough theres no LSD, and probably the most accurate way to tell aside from taking apart the tranny.

^^^the thing about that is that there are several types of lsd and not all spin the same way.
