It feels like my power steering is going out its hard ta turn not all the time but it feels like it catches but its fine when im moving

Check the fluid level, then check the lines and make sure there are no leaks.

a binding U-joint can can that erratic "grabby" feeling too, try to lube it up.

perhpas you mean balljoint or CV joint? front wheel drive cars dont have U joints.


it sounds like air in the lines due to low fluid level. to purge air, fill the resivor, leave the cap off, turn the wheel lock to lock several times, then check the fluid level again and add as needed. do this until it feels normal again.

The joint you see where the steering column comes out of the firewall, I'ts called a u joint, what do you mean? smile.gif

ah ok. ive always called that the rag joint or some other name, infact newer cars use CV style joints there.
