nice setup, OOBE. a few questions for you :

how long has your setup been going, and how much boost are you running?

Since June 2003. I started at 3 PSI and right now I am at 12.

is the tq steer really that bad?
Yes, even with a fresh realignment...just when taking off. If going fast, it's not noticeable. I have never driven the car with the stock rims after turbocharging. It has had the 17" Enkeis all the time. Not only torque steer is bad, but also traction loss, especially when it's wet or raining.

what are your plans for the future?
Well, I am waiting to get out of the Army so I can return to my home and finish the car...that will happen this month. I have to do the tranny tricks, and install the torque converter, the EMS, and the forged internals. Manifolds and valves will remain stock for now so I test everything out.

I remember your old video, I think you were misfiring or something in one of the cylinders, and the car still looked pretty quick. Do you have any more completed videos?
I uploaded a few ones not too long ago. I'll re-post them! smile.gif

Thats a downside to high horsepower applications with an auto transmission......its harder to manipulate boost like you can with a manual transmission, like more of a point and shoot sort of dealm instead.

My friends WRX is auto, and its a little tricky sometimes to really control the boost. If I'm driving it in bad weather or snow I always accelerate easy otherwise the thing will want to take off running, although its not so unstable with AWD to keep things secure.

They do make mechanisms that allow you to manually shift your A/T, I think level 10 makes a good one. Maybe the new torque converter, manual electronic shift and transmission cooler with a little heavier trans oil will help out the situation......using a slightly heavier oil will help the transission to shift more positively without all the slipping.

EDIT- I'd like to see the videos too, I just remember seeing the one where you drive up to the dog and pet him. biggrin.gif
