Today out of the blue the auto tranny in my 98 accord started having resistance when you shift the gears between P-N-D4-D3, etc... Its not all the time, but prolly every 3rd time you move the transaxle into a diff. gear there is a fairly strong resistance to move the gear selector... also, it seems to move the shift housing a tiny bit when the resistance is stongest, and you can see its not from applying pressure to move it, because when it finally does move into place, the housing returns into normal position... I have no idea what this means, why its doing it, but does anybody have an idea as to what it might be. I popped the case and pushed in the shift interlock, and it diddent solve anything...

I'm not sure, but you may want to check out Honda-Tech.com if you don't know about that site. It's an excellent site with tons of tech info.
