Question about Retaining Clips, For Sideskirts

I am going to try to use the clips used for the corolla oem sideskirts. Its weird though, on the bottom of my celica, there are numerous clips but none of them line up with the skirt. I still have to drill to put on these retaining clips and then use double-sided tape for the side.
