anybody know if they are any good? I have silverstars that burnt out and dont particlarily want to spend 40 again for them- the cool blues are just over half the cost so i'm curious?

they suck. If you want the look of blue, than buy em, if you want good bulbs that will last along time and are going to be bright..PIAA. I bought a set for my car..$94 for a set, gaurnetted for a year, brightest bulb on the market. Think of silver stars, times 3.
