I ordered the riser blocks from Chrisc off Ebay. Before I go off asking him questions that I don't know, just had a few questions for those that have bought them from him:
What are they made of? Fiberglass or plastic (like the bumper)? Will I have to drill holes in my spoiler to match up with the block holes? It appears that the blocks have pre-drilled holes at the top. The blocks are painted a black gelcoat? If I paint over this (red), do I need to prime it first, or can I just paint right over the black? Finally, I have a red GT (see pics)...leave the blocks black or paint them red? Thanks! |

For #3, Did you do any kind of prep work before painting (sanding or priming) before painting (if you painted yours at all)? |

yes, i would give them a light sanding with 320 before you do anything.
the more you "prep" them, the better theyll look. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

I would say 600-800 wet sand, use clean water. Then rinse them with clean water let them dry and paint them.
Manny is right, the more prep work you do the better the paint will come out. -------------------- I will return one day. |
