My GF of 2 years just told me that she wanted to spend time apart. I have never had pain like this before. I cant stop thinking about her, and im extrememly depressed. All i can do is cry, and im also having trouble eating. It just hurts so much. Does it ever get any better? (we were planning on getting married, even though were both 19)

Yep...it gets better. Go do something to keep you busy. Go work out or hang out with friends or something to try to take your mind off of it.

some of the best cars came out of ended relationships....got some free time....tweeeking becomes a new love.....it gets better, takes time, but it does.

Or U'll find someone else...who is "better" for u or your "better" together


I know thats how it went with me. Horrible break up, really sad....time passed, felt better, and found someone that I would do just about nething for.

just keep your head up cause you have a whole life to live and eventaully you will find the right girl or maybe she doesnt realize she is the one yet. hope things get better for you.

like Coomer said - it will get better - just occupy your time with friends, work, school, what ever you can do to keep yourself busy

in most normal relationship the guy usually needs the girl more than the girl needs the guy -- if you occupy your time well enough - after 1 month you'll feel alot better and ready to move on - just make sure you start looking for another mate also - keep your options open

thanks guys, i think i really just needed to talk to people. I just cant stop picturing her with other people, or even picturing myself with other people, and everything i think about has memories of her tied to it. Since ive never had my heart broken before, ive never had deal with anything like this. I do hope it gets better though.

hell no are you crazy? it definitly get's better dude! trust me, one of the worst feelings in the world is when someone you love tells you the two of you should spend time apart...i'm engaged and it happend to me, when you're that far and it comes to that, what else is there? but honestly, it get's so much better!

Being 16-20 is a pretty ****ty time for most people. It's about the period everyone starts to figure out who they are, what they believe in and somtimes even their political stand point. This time can often be the breaking point for most high school -to- college bound relationships.

Most girls are ****ing psycho at that age anyways.

Just keep your head up cause there is that other girl, whom you've yet to meet who will treat you better.

i dont get extremely sad until night, when im layin in bed. I went to her graduation today, and just kinda of hid in the crowd. That really made things worse. But i had to see her get her diploma. I just miss her so much. Im slowly gettin better though.

ive taken down all the pictures, that helped me more than anything, not having to see us smiling together.

ok maybe i'm the only one to have the balls to say it.... but maybe it's not over... Don't instill false hopes, but dont lose hope. Many relationships go on a hiyeadus (major spellling) at some point or another... It just is up to how hard you are willing to fight for it and if she realizes..... currently i am in this situation and there's not an easy day....

my gf broke up with me when i was like in 7th grade or when i was about 12-13 yrs old however you see it, anyways, since then, i've been afraid to fall in love again, and been single ever since (i'm 19 now) i use video games and sports in place of chasing girls, i'm a big gamer (xbox, ps2, gb, mainly RPG games, preferably japanese rpgs) and i was one of the top football players for my high school team. And now that i'm in college, i'm spending time modding my car now in place of girls, dont worry man,......let them chase you, for me i'm still scared to fall in love, because i'm not ready, i need to get my education first, get a real job, make the $$, and get a life,.....THEN when i'm financially ready and psychologically ready, let them come to you, good luck and keep us updated! we're here to help man, you're not the only one whos been through this! we're all here, attached is something i find interesting, laters

ok im depressed now.....nothing as bad as yours and i dont mean to hijack the thread, but i need to get my feelings out. I like some girl, a hell of a lot. And she says she likes me alot too. ur gonna ask, wheres the problem? Problem is that i tell her all the time, everychance i get. She says it after i say it (most of the time). And tonight, when i was on the phone with her, at the end of the conversation, i told her how much i cared about her, and i told her that i really wanted her to know that. Her response was, "i know, ill ttyl" My problem is that, if she likes me as much as she says, dont u think she would show it alittle more? Idk im just feeling like I tricked myself into likeing this girl alot more then she likes me.

( i know i didnt give you any background info on her or our relationship/whatever u wanna call it. But i just needed to get my feelings out cuz its driving me nuts)
