Well, aparently on the entrance to the laundromat near my apartment, there's a curb that's about 8inches high. Impossible to see, since I take a right then immediately turn into the laundromat. Well, I didn't hit the curb dead on, but where it starts to slope down sharply to meet the pavement. I guess the tire slid and it popped a huuuge hole in the sidewall.

The tires need replaced at the end of the summer...but now I'm gonna have to do it early b/c it would be a wast e of money to get one new tire and have 3 old ones, since I'm not even sure those are the tires I want again..

Now my winder all-season tires are on, and one wheel is missing a hubcap frown.gif Here goes another 250.00+ for new tires, plus mounting and balancing...and to top it off I just paid 30 something to get the tires rotated/balanced.

Had to rant..really put a damper on my entire day.

Cliffs Notes: Popped tire, angry, and have to spend money on new ones. mad.gif

250 !!!!!!

it cost me that for one tire !!!!!!!!!

1000 bucks a set and i only got 215-55-16 Goodyear or someting like that plus rim straighterning, balancing and fitting......
now i see how you guys can change tires and rims so often... and i thought it was cheap over here....

Amazing how it's usually the fault of the kerb. Still, a kerb which is only 8" high must be really difficult to see rolleyes.gif

It was the way the turn was, you turn right from one street, and immediately turn into the entrance. I misjudged by maybe 6 inches, max..and it popped my tire.

Where did I say that it wasn't my fault? I hit the curb, the curb popped the tire...what in that puts the blame off of me? No need to come piss on my thread adding to an already bad day.
