Best for what? Seeing in fog: amber. Appearance: clear/white.

So we can say yellow because its between both. wink.gif

I think clear/white looks the best. If you go to the PIAA website, I think they have some technical information that indicates amber/yellow is the best for seeing in the fog. I bought clear because fog is only an issue about 2-4 days per year so I wanted it to look good.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

Here is something i pulled down from a site that prides themselves on car lighting knowledge wink.gif

"The old wives' tale that yellow fog lights give you greater visibility over white or blue ones is just not true. The premise of that superstition, that yellow light waves are long enough to pass through water particles without reflecting back into the driver's eyes, is based on a misinterpretation of Lord Rayleigh's principle of light scattering. As it turns out, the water particles in fog and mist are entirely too large to have an effect on any light waves from fog lights, be they yellow, white, blue or even green. In other words, any fog light that is properly mounted and aimed is effective, so don't worry about the color."

Now, everybody can draw there own conclusion..and can do their own searches etc...BUT, for me, I went with my personal favorite look, the JDM Yellow hotness wink.gif ...lol, I’ll have to post a picture when everything comes in and I install it all...

...plus, I might still think Yellow can work better in different types of whether...why not? ...lol, people have been saying it for years tongue.gif oh well, anything works better than nothing! laugh.gif

...this is a fun thread tongue.gif

the beam itself only goes a little farther than my lows do
they just also projects around 80ft on both sides of the car and are a lot brighter than my stock lights they are designed to be a wide angle fog light... they are really good for seeing on those dark curvy roads you can't drive fast on during the day
