I think I'm going to use an acrylic or synthetic enamel single-stage gloss paint, which I'll color sand and buff and polish afterwards. There will be no clear coat. I'll be painting with a small-ish Craftsman air compressor and a HVLP gun in my garage which will be turned into a makeshift paintbooth, so we'll see how that goes. The hood, bumpers, rear plate panel, trunk lid, spoiler, extensions, sideskirts, and fuel door will be painted off of the car to make painting easier for me. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

What you SHOULD do coomer is wire in a couple of reverse lights into the shaved license plate panel. That might look sweet!.

Are you staying yellow? I know you hated it because you got hasseled.

Are you staying yellow? I know you hated it because you got hasseled. I'm not sure...I now live in a different city and haven't been pulled over once, so harassment isn't a problem until I get back to Yakima. Last weekend I didn't make it through two stoplights before I got pulled over immediately after coming into town. ![]() The rear bumper is my old Spa Yellow Pearl color. The fender was shot with synthetic enamel paint tonight, but I don't like the lightness of the new yellow, so tomorrow I'm going to go check on other colors I could go with. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

It should be decently close though once I'm done. ![]() -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
