Maybe this is a dumb question, but I have a little red light to the left and slightly lower than my steering wheel. Since my car is STILL being painted, I can't look under the seat to see if I might have had a stock alarm. Is that what that is??? And I also want to know why my cig lighter isn't working. Also, could I just replace the lighter with an outlet like some cars have, because I don't smoke, but it would be nice to have a place to charge my phone, etc.

The little light is the alarm light. If it doesn't have one now, then it used to. When it is armed the light with flash. If your lighter isn't working you can pull the dash panel out (it pops right off) and check to see if all the connections and plugs are all hooked up.

the cigarette lighter is a tricky piece...it's like four different parts assembled in a very back-a$$ward, specific way. if the inside socket has been turned at all, it won't work. if you check and everything is still plugged in, try sticking your finger in the socket and twisting it either way, trying it out each time.
hope that helps! -------------------- ![]() do you know who i am, mr. worley? |
