No they dont need hub rings, I think you need to get your wheels balanced.

Hub rings wont fit since OEM wheels are made to fit snuggly on the hub. -------------------- |

well.. if you told them you had aftermarket rims, it's not exactly a bad recommendation... and they did tell you to get the alignment, which is most likely the cause.

autozone is a good place for parts just dont ask their advice, i had a guy telling me that it was a beneficial upgrade to take the 2jz out of a lexus IS300 and put in a 7m-gte.... but then again i like their parts like HG and timing belts alot better!

Warped Brake Disc?
My rear was warped and it caused the whole car to shake around after the caliper had got hot and was sticking it. I stopped 3 times on the way to work once (20 miles) cos I thought a wheel was coming off. |

QUOTE(DeW_H0e_GT @ May 31, 2006 - 2:36 PM) i dont have anyproblems when stopping......does rotors affect driving when im pressing the gas pedal??? I didn't have any trouble stopping, the trouble was that my nearside rear caliper was (and still is a bit) sticking, which after a while ended up warping the disc. From then on it would not affect anything when it was cold other than making an intermittent noise, but after a while it would heat up, the extreme heat would expand the brake fluid causing the piston to push the (piston side) pad onto the disc more, (causing more heat etc) and cos the disc was warped it would shake rattle and roll the car. But once I use the brake pedal it would go off cos both pads were tight on it rather than being on it tight in 1 place and not in another on the piston side. I've since changed the discs and its not done it for since, however it is all getting a bit hot again so I might need to change the caliper as well if I can't free it off again. Might not be anything to do with it mate, but its always something to check. Get a Dial Test Indicator and stick the magnet to the strut, put a couple of nuts back onto the bolts so the disc is fastened to the hub and spin the disc by hand with the Dial lever touching the disc, it should only move the dial very slightly if at all. If it moves lots then either the disc is warped or its got something stuck behind it. |
