I got to sneek out to the track today. I went out just to practice some launching.
I have some results below R/T .334 60' 2.5 330 7.2 1/8 10.6 MPH 77.22 1000 13.356 1/4 15.6 MPH 97.76 Missed second and had a problem while launching. Video below  Run 2 was 14.1 I can find my slip I have the video though  Run 3 RT .339 60' 2.236 330 6.2 1/8 9.3 MPH 78.80 1000 12.1 1/4 14.4 MPH 97.62  It was very hot today and I'm still running engine coolant in my IC. I need to switch that to water with an additive. I noticed the charge wasnt as cool as last year at the track. Once I get this launch down I can put up some better numbers. I'm shooting for 13.5 on street tires. So I have to practice practice practice --------------------  I will return one day. |

I wrote little notes on each of the slips. I'm really pissed that I lost the 14.1 slip, I wanted to compair it to my 13.9 slip. Your right I need to relax up there, I'm getting better at it. You can see how hot it was. Look at my boost gauge its floating around 11-12 psi. It should be at 14-15 psi.
I'm going to video every run. It's nice to look back and see the guages, and what driving habits I need to change. -------------------- I will return one day. |

It is really nice to actually watch the run from the gauges and see what really happened. Awesome videos....I wish I wasn't stuck at work today.
 I'll be there next time. I really think thats like 50% of drag racing is just being relaxed and fluid, I keep thinking back even to my stock GT runs and I shake my head.....i could've made that thing much quicker had I actually launched it and then not bog down the motor so much. I was so intent on just mashing my foot to the floor out of nervousness once first gear grabbed, I realized I probably lost a good ammount of time by not using any "feel" to where the tires were at, or how much throttle would actually make the car accelerate quickest. Its also pretty unsettling hearing a motor so big and loud in the next lane over that you can't even hear yourself think.... You'll be well into the 13's this summer Jeff, i'm sure of it. I'll be there next time for support.....heck, I'll even provide some umbrella girls in the pit area to keep you loose and relaxed.

Looks like fun. Can you hook that mount up to the other side of the headrest so you can see the road and shifting? I would like to see how much wheel spin you are getting on hard runs.
