ok for a few hours I have been looking at compressor maps and messing with a few performance programs. my results have founf that on a garret t3 with 60 trim
IPB Image
now my calculations on paper and with a calc say the red line and the perfomance calc say the blue line.
calculations:
CFM=LxRPMxVExPr/5660 = 2.2x3500x90x1.54/5660 = 188.55cfm or 12.82lb/min
CFM=LxRPMxVExPr/5660 = 2.2x6300x90x1.54/5660 = 339.398cfm or 23.088lb/min
Pr=14.7+BOOST/14.7 = 14.7+8/14.7 = 1.54

program says that my air flow rate at 3500 is 21.58lbs/min and at 6300 it is 38.85lbs/min the Pr says 1.55

what is my problem? am i right or is the comp? and am i wasting my time with this turbo in the first place??

just buy a ct26 from mr2/alltrac. No need to get fancy if your a turbo newb. Make it work and see what adjustments you want to make from there.

Try mr2oc.com. Alot of guys buy jdm clips with 40k on them put a few thousand miles on there cars and go for big turbos and sell the stock ct26. A decent ct26 with not a lot of play goes for around 200. Or you can rebuilt it ethier or.

I have a t3/t04e turbo on my 3s swap setup. It's good for alot of power. However I don't hit full boost until 3900rpms. That blows. You have a little bit more displacement but I don't think that you would spool up all that much faster. I will be getting a new turbo soon, this one just isn't for me.
