sound deadening in your trunk and hatch? might be a plausible solution. B-Quiet extreme is fairly priced. 50 sq ft for about 80 bucks CAD on ebay.

remove it
it'll be like a convertible kind of when you are driving with your windows down other cars would be forced to hear what you're listening to even better just avoid parking in public anywhere or driving in the rain if that doesn't float your boat Tech9ine's solution sounds like the best option.. i'm sure you've heard of dynamat they make kits(even though $$$) for sound deadening that are pretty easy to get ahold of my friend has a 13" jl audio w7 powered by a 1000watt mono amp in his little civic hatchback and it makes my windows vibrate 3 carlengths back but his car doesn't have any noise coming out of it but his booty-shakin gagsta rap -------------------- |

i know i have the same problem, but i think it shouldnt do that cause when mine does it it looks like the window in going to shatter. mine doesnt vidrate, it bows lol -------------------- |

I filled all the gaps with foam, and then bought some roofing material (that looks just like Dynomat and sticks way better) at HomeDepot. Some people say that it doesnt work, but I tested it before I put it in my car. I used the bells from Dynomat display at my local car audio shop and I am not saying that its better than Dynomat X-treme but it does help a lot. The thing with sound dampening material is that you just want to find a place on your car that doesn't have any ridges sticking out (so flat piece of metal is what you looking for) then hit it with some tool and see if it resonates, if it does put some sound dampening material on it. As of right now I used about 4 sq. ft. of Roofing material and a can of Foam to get rid of all the ratteling from the trunk. But then again for the door sound dampening do get Dynomat because its just better overall.
My .10 cents Foam $6 + Roofing material $12 $18 + tax = no rattling in the turnk Priceless This post has been edited by Niskyspy: Jun 4, 2006 - 11:07 AM -------------------- <<AKA THA RUSSIAN>>
