Is this stock or part of upgrade package, pictures included Options

So about a month ago i removed my spare tire. 1/2 because it was flat and i was too lazy to fill it, 1/2 because it weighs a ton. Anyways, just today i got around to removing the jack because.... well, why jack a car if you can put a spare under it! Anyways to my surprise when i yanked the jack out the bottom was covered in an orange/ brown "coat". Im just wondering if this is some sort of additive that makes the metal stronger? See pics below.

No that's not part of an upgrade package. It's called "rust" it happens when metal is oxidized. By air, or even faster when it's in contact with water.

holy crap?! extreme protection! that stuff is expensive! how did you get your hands on such a relic. wow. amazing, i bet that super strong scissor jack can lift the hoover dam with all that strenght spray on there.
