My friend junked his car and sold me his components cheap, they are:

2x Infinity Reference series 6012i (60Wrms/180W peak)

2x Infinity Reference series 6412cfp (45Wrms/135W peak)

new i think he paid around 50$ a speaker so i know they are pretty decent, and he had them in for about 10 months.. with a pioneer head unit.

I have no clue what head ill upgrade to in the future but right now i have a 125$ JVC thing. tongue.gif

I'm just curious to see where you guys think i should install these, i'm open to customization etc. I also got subs and an amp so i was thinking of doing what i beleive Coomer did and put the amp inside the spot where the rear speakers go...

just looking for ideas..

PS: the option of adding another two speakers somewhere is viable too. Eventually i would like a 10 speaker interior with: 6 components, 2 tweeters, 2 subs (I think.)

thanks biggrin.gif

I think if you seperated the Top ones, into componets and then used them in a Premium Door Panels that would be a nice setup.

so your saying put the tweeters in the stock tweeter location and use the other speaker for the 8 speakers set up deal that toyota offered? (the ones right above the door handle and such)

Thats actually a pretty neat idea.. then on top of that i could put the other ones in the lower part on the door panel.

I think i might attempt fiberglass work to make a custom speaker cover if i take that route^^

i like the fact that it will look stock and won't advertise.

I would just use the stock mounting location to put 2 6.5" reference Infinitys to complete the setup, I had a complete set of componets in mine and it sounded really nice.
