a shop should install headers, it's just a matter of if they ahve to remove a catalytic converter to do so. if they do, they won't do it...i know my ST came w/ a cat right there after the header combined..so if they know what it is, they prolly won't..but you never know..um...and running a 80mm tip won't make a difference, it's all about the exhaust pipe size, so the question is...do you wanna run a larger exhaust pipe before you go turbo..me personally, on a turbo ST, i'd run at least 2.5" piping, maybe even 2.75" (if it's out there)..iono if 3" would be too big...but i'd say it's gettin there...and yeah, runnin 2.5" and a 80mm tip on an NA engine, you'll be fine til it gets turbo'd...no worries at all. you may just notice that the exhaust will "gargle" somewhat like a boat (like bryan's ). so i say, GO FOR IT. it's not gonna hurt, and it's better than redoing it twice.

after teh header, you'll need a resonator back on there, trust me on this one, i have 2.25" piping and an HP header on my ST. hey, if you have AIM, hit me up..my name is Mynzeyes
