i think it was mentioned before that it would run best on 91 or higher

it's mentioned that 5sfe's are not high-compression engines that you won't benefit much from putting 91s than 87s.. but if you don't mind the higher cost, go with 91s.. i have been on 91s since i've owned my car but now i'm switching to regular 87.

Any is fine, 89 is recommended. Celicas without 3SG(T)E's should never need higher. Any more is a waste of your money.
