do you guys think this heatshield on this intake would actually work>? because it looks to me like it would restrict alot of air .. thanks in advance..

i doubt it, if you got a SRI then its gonna suck up hot air regardless

dunno if that thing works. you could try it if you want. or you can get a cai for about the same price.

yup thats what i thought.. its all hot air anyway, so it wouldnt make that big of a difference im guessing.. just wanted some opinions before i bought one with or without the heatshield.

I've got one of those, had it for about a year, not sure if it makes any difference, but it makes a nice growl when pedal is pressed. I am thinking of swapping back to the original airbox though as hoping it will cut down on the fuel bills slightly??

hum will it dosent really work i think i read somthing that shows dyno tested on that the only thing that will get you cold air is a cold air intake which bumps the hp like very litto like .o5 hp or somthing so yeha it prove that short ram intake is not much different from stock ..

the most boring cai we can do for our car is to eliminate the stock reservior and add a drop-in k&n filter...its not as pretty or bling as a metal cai but its more effective and has great throttle response.
