Yeah they're pretty common.
A good thing to do before buying something is check out the parts database. There you can get an idea of what other people payed and a review of the part. http://www.6gc.net/index.php?action=parts&itu=37 This post has been edited by Supersprynt: Jun 7, 2006 - 12:18 PM -------------------- |

from what ive heard on other car forums....dropzones are crap. they're bouncy and have poor springs which sag.

I have the dropzone coilovers...I have had them for about 2 yrs now and am lowered almost the full 4 front and back, and my drivers rear has some sag in it(it sits lower then the rest of the springs). There OK, ride quality is tight, and somewhat stiff, but react to corners very nicely. I do have the replacement kyb gas shocks though. It did make it much better when i got the shocks (if you do this coilover upgrade i would be 100% sure to get some kind of aftermarket shock that can take a beating here and there)! If i was to do it ALL over again, I would have saved another 500 dollars or so and get the TEIN threaded shocks and coilovers. You cant go wrong with them!!! Think about it...dropzones 150-200, KYB GR2 shocks 250 aprox. Until shipped and bought your already at 500-550. Save another 500 and get some of the best suspension out there.

I've heard that those are not really generic, they are known, but not reputable by most people. If you must get coilovers get teins instead. It'll be well worth it, but if you are really interested in those dropzones, like pimped6gen said, get some aftermarket struts. I just wouldn't risk spending that kind of money on that product at all.

i have Ground controls with Koni yellow cartridges, and they are very smooth. they are set to circuit so it is stick right now. good buy just a little pricy about 350 for the ground controls and about another 300 for the yellows. but well worth it.
look at the pic lower right corner of my site and you can see i'm pretty low, to the point where speed bumps are really an issue but still smooth and solid This post has been edited by pnoywitmustrdsauce: Jun 13, 2006 - 5:21 AM |
