I just got my 96 black ST coupe and I'm stuck between the Zephyr and the Erebuni body kit! Which do you guys/girls like better? I plan to add some 17's or 18's in the future, will that make any impact on the kit and how it fits? Any other considerations I need to make? Please post your pics if you have either of these kits!

sup dude, where in jersey are you at?
as for the bodykits, its all preference, get whichever you like better. but I will say this, I've seen several veilside style kits on celis in my area but no zglide so take that for whatever its worth. with either kit fitament is gonna be a problem since you have a coupe. but thats nothing a good bodyshop and a couple hundreds won't fix. good luck. |

I live in Woodbridge, exit 127 off GSParkway. I'm leaning toward the Zephyr kit, but, will I have any problems whe I decide to add bigger wheeels? Will it look stupid if I don't have the car dropped at all. I had an RX7 before, which was 3inches off the ground, so I don't want to put a kit on it that makes the car look 2 feet off the ground!

the zephyr kit is a good choice. only problem is its pretty low so you might have trouble driving with it. but you said your previous car was dropped so maybe you're used to it.
anyway about the rims, 18s will look good with the kit. you won't have any problems with scraping as long as you stick to a 215/40 or smaller tire. as for wheel gap, you will still have some but it will be much less noticable than stock so I wouldn't worry about it. |

Yeah I know LBI, my parents have a shore house in Barnegat (exit 67) and we go to LBI often. Isn't there a Celica meet there soon? Anyway, I was told to go with the Erebuni front because VIS doesn't make a kit for 96 Celica's. Picking the skirts is a pain in the ass, I can hardly tell them apart from the pics I've seen. Maybe I need new contact lenses!

dude, our meet is at Barnegat so maybe we could all head over to your beach house and have a party... w00t re: your ViS vs Erebuni question your right, vis doesn't make a 96+ front. maybe by special order but it'll be easier to get it through erebuni. as for the sideskirts, you know what the erebuni ones look like, these are the vis: |

Yo dog, thanks for the pic, I think I'll go for the Erebuni front/rear and the VIS sides. Party at my house afterward? Aight! Anyway, I just finished painting my interior silver and it came out great, I suggest everyone who has the urge to do so also.

Well I say if your getting the Erebuni front and rear just get the full Zyhper kit. As of right now Im still trying to figure out what exactly the VIS sides are called. But when I find out what they are called I will let you all know. But the clearence on both kits with a 1.5" drop on my car was 5.25" which wasn't to bad.

hey what's the quality like on the erebuni kit and the Vis kit? I'm lookin at getting a Veilside-style rear bumper and i want to know which one has the better quality/fitment on a hatchback. I'm guessing its Erebuni Cuz its more expensive. I just want the best i can get w/o paying out of my ass for a veilside rear bumper. Also, all of these are made out of fiberglass right? are there any urethane or higher quality kits out there? Or does the fiberglass hold up pretty well? i've heard mixed reviews. As of now i'm getting the erebuni shogun rear bumper unless someone persuades me another way.

hmmm...i cant really picture a stock celica with just the invader rear. might look a bit odd in my opinion but its ur car. from what i heard VIS is cheaper and has really good fitment but thats what i have been told. as for urethane, i think i can get body kits made in urethane since my friend is partners with a company that makes custom kits but i wouldnt recommend them really at the moment. But its ur call man and NO they do not make urethane kits unless they are custom made. I hope this answers all your questions -------------------- Note to new members.
