i dont know but when i did my custom clears, i used a flashlight to aim at where my screw hole is and drilled in from there. every step is critical. i went through maybe 30 tries. take your time to make sure everything is there and set. it took me about 4 hrs to make mine perfect but after a while mines went yellowish and cracked (where the screw went). good luck snap and update us on how you do.

QUOTE(snapshotgt @ Jun 13, 2006 - 4:30 PM) Questions: 1.) How do you create such a clean glue/silver border around the signal. 2.) How are people dealing with the screw hole/inset that holds them to the bumper? ![]() ~snap -------------------- Past: V6 Swapped 6G Celica, E46 BMW M3, Jeep Wrangler TJ

Snap i can sell you mine if you want, they come with a silver screw peice already inserted, and so you just have to fit it around that, which is what i did. Also, what i did to make the even lines with the sealer was just glue a little "fence" to the inside piece so that it would stop it from spreading, and just filled up the edge and let it fill in. The hardest part is getting the 'glass' or plastic piece to line up and be perfectly even, that is what will make it look the best...Also using a clear silicone as apposed to black one like i used should help out. For the "fence" i used a thin sheet metal piece that we had in our garage, its almost like a middle between foil and sheet metal, if that makes sense...and then i just superglued it around the inside edge before i put the plastic on. Hopefully all this makes sense.

^ Yeah, kinda makes sense...Do you have any "up close" pics? -- also, what do you mean about "silver screw peice already inserted" ? Did you make that? how?
anyway, thanks man. snap -------------------- Past: V6 Swapped 6G Celica, E46 BMW M3, Jeep Wrangler TJ

Well looking at fallens it looks like i have the same insert he does...and i took off the plastic and the liner...another thing you could do and this is what it looks like fallen did is you could measure how wide the edge is and paint the plastic to cover the edge, you could even make it a little thicker so it doesnt show inconsistencys within the sealant. But the edge he has isnt from the sealer, he made it. Heres a couple pics of the insert:

Here are my new clear turns i made. There is NO screw on front -- it is in the back, screwd from the inside of the engine bay.
Anyway, these are 100% more water tight, and also, look way better b/c of the border i painted!!! anyway, enjoy! ![]() ~snap -------------------- Past: V6 Swapped 6G Celica, E46 BMW M3, Jeep Wrangler TJ

I just noticed you got the fogs on there snap. Nice work, the turns just look off if you are looking at the side markers at the same time. other than that, not too bad.

Just as a note, I'm selling clear office plastic lenses made by using a band saw/and a wheel grinder to finish off a nice edge. Lenses come with a paint pen and detailed instructions for finishing up the job. Contact me via pm for any more info.
