spotted a 6gc in an asian show Options

so i was watching this show called Taiyou no Kisetsu and in like a second there was a 6th gen parked in the background.. call me obsessed but i was like "whoa.. was that a 6th gen?" so i went back and checked.. i was watching with my sister and she was amazed how quickly i reacted when i saw it..

not that big a deal being a japanese live action and all, but here are some pics:

Has anyone ever seen the movie, "Legend of Speed"? it's a kinda old racing movie and its in chinese, but there are a few shots with a 6gc in it haha.

Sars is the group of people subbing the show. The show is actually called "Taiyou no Kisetsu" aka "Season of the Sun".

Also, if you look closely, it looks like the owner of the car went for the spoilerless look too.

HAHA i see now im not the only one that calls out the 6gc's!!!! My gf is always amazed when i can call out the year and the model when i only glimpse the car for a few seconds. unfortunately i have yet to see another 6gc other than stock around here. Most ive seen is just new rims on a 95 st.

Haha i thought that was the first one, but i do know there was a big 2 on cover of the dvd, but in the movie it never said 2 so i was kinda confused haha.

i dont just call out 6gc but the 5th gen, 4th gen, i dont really do 7th gen cuz its all the same.

I watched Initial D and there's a silver celica GT-4 that he races in the snow. That was pretty phat, the GT-4 guy was the bad guy though, he wasn't a good 6gc driver.....I think he tried to hurt the car.

yeah, i call out 6gc's too. my gf thinks i get a lil too excited when i see one. but most of the ones i see are stock and what-not. really rare that i see a souped up celi (i've only seen like 1 on the road... yellow, 404 kit, exhaust, maybe other stuff), or even one that doesn't look 12 years old.

lol, it's funny to read everyones post on how they yell out "celica" and the description. I've done it so much that my wife does it now!


I'm also glad to see that I'm not the only one ,when watching a movie, looks to see what cars are in the background! Nice...

guilty to all the same arguments stated above i call them out and tell my girlfreind things like "oo that one has the dealer option side skirts blah, and that one had the gt rims, but it was only an ST etc. I try to tell her why i know thats a 96 or above because of the bumper etc, and she ignores me lol

I rarely see any that look too decent, all the ones around me are not cared for as well as they should be, but there is a nice one all souped up and such, happens to be my buddy from high school
