You darn tootin! Loving it too.

The swap was supposedly just started on Monday by Dr. Tweak (haven't talked to him in about 1 1/2 weeks). I don't want to divulge too much information because it's not my place to post his stuff, but he ran into some issues with TruBoost upon arrival down in GA and ended up seperating from that shop and getting hooked up with another shop, which caused a delay. Add to that the fact that a lot of the tune up/reseal/maintenance parts for the new motor were on backorder from Toyota and that there was a shipping mishap (stuff sent to his old address) my car kind of got put on hold until issues were worked out.

Sadly, because of the shop situation, the dyno tune may end up costing me additional funds. I've already handed Dr. Tweak the full $7K for evreything that's being done, and am hoping to escape without added funds, but I'd personally rather pay a couple hundred more for the dyno tune than run around unknowing. Tweak says that our car should be ready for pickup the third week of July (week of the 17th, conveniently which my wife and I both took off from work), so more to follow. Rest assured, since we're taking the Vette down to GA, there will be a highway run between it (bone stock) and the Celica on the way home.

Last time I talked to him, Dr. Tweak is doing good, getting settled in, and getting everything straightened out finally.

Lastly, sorry about the hiatus. Between the new Vette, the blower motor build, and work (mostly work) I haven't been around a whole lot, but I'm still here.

Oh, I have absolutely no doubts about that. I know very well that he's the man. I do wish it wasn't taking this long, but that's part of working on cars too, it's always going to be behind schedule unless your name is Boyd and you are a slavedriver.

Hey guys smile.gif

Things have been really crazy here, but I've FINALLY gotten settled into the new shop this week. I actually started on Sean's swap, the engine reseal/tuneup has been completed, and I was just waiting on a camera to get some shots up for you all. So I'll get that up soon along with more progress on the car smile.gif

I'm trying to get on the forums more but it's hard because I work so hard all day, by the time evening rolls around I'm beat and head to bed, after giving my wife some attention. So, I'll be in and out around here.

Take it easy! smile.gif
