So, i got back from France about 2weeks ago now. I finaly loaded some of the pics onto my photobucket account. I kinda dont wanna sit around for a day loading all 600 of them on, so i figured i would show you guys some of my fav pics. So for my trip, my girl friend, sarah, and i flew into Paris, hopped on a train and headed to Nice, right beside Monaco. Took 6 and a half hours on train to get from Paris to Nice. The first day we were there, we were awake for 38 hours straight because of the stupid time change. So we got to Nice where we had to hike for 25 minutes with 50lb backpacks in 32 degree (celcius), 89 fahrenheit weather, uphill. Finaly got to our appartment we rented. Small, but nice. Any ways, we spent 11 days in Nice and the French Riveara and our friends who were backpacking through europe together showed up and stayed with us for about a week. Any ways, enjoy the pics.

It was cool but weird, the Nice Airport is loacted at the end of the coast right on the water so every day you were on the beach, planes would be flying like 300 feet above you. Cool but weird.
IPB Image
Pic of me, my gf, Jen (gfs life long friend), Stefan and Big Mike(guys i went to highschool with).
IPB Image
Canadian Bacon. Stef was on the beach for 2 hours, no sunscreen and it was like 35 that day. Its been two weeks and the burn still isnt fully gone away.
IPB Image
Mikey and Sarah. Mike decided to drink that entire bottel of wine to him self that night, after 3 pervious glasses and a bottel of beer.
IPB Image
The aftermath...
IPB Image
Hangin the laundry out to dry. We had some ghetto washer/dryer. To get every thing fully dry, the cycle took 2 and a half hours - 3 hours.

The coast at night.
IPB Image
home cooked dinner
IPB Image
we had about 2 bottels of wine a night for dinner. This was only part of the collection. Also, wine, good wine...$5.50 a bottel biggrin.gif
IPB Image
Stef enjoying Coca-Cola Blak, a mix of Coke and Coffee flavour. Its actually really good.

This guy wouldnt move at all untill you put some money in his hat. We watched him for 20 min and he didnt move a muscle. It was weird.
IPB Image
me with an old Mini. These things are like civcs over there, every one has one.
IPB Image
me and sarah ontop of an old lookout in Cannes
IPB Image
our train from Cannes to Nice was sooooooooo nice, all leather. Stupidly swanky. Tobad the ride was only 40 min.

Paris Pictures

We spent two days in Paris. It was pretty nice, but not what we expected. We almost got caught in a student protest one day. That would have been fun, getting tear gassed and arrested our last day in the country.

Sarah. This was around the corner from where our appartment was. We were like 15 min walking distance to the Tower.
IPB Image
Me, same place
IPB Image
mmmmm, french hotdog.
IPB Image
After 2 weeks of craving for starbucks, we found one in Paris.
IPB Image
Riot Police. For about a 15 square KM area, every street corner would have at least 3 cops in Riot gear. This area was right were we missed the protest about an hour earlier.
IPB Image
Some guy had one of these Aqua cars on the back of his Yatch as his life boat. Crazy French ppl.
IPB Image
Lotus. So many people had them over there. They go for like 15000 euros brand new over there.
IPB Image
they had this beer over there called Monaco Tango. It was just regular draft beer, mixed with Grenadine. You know grenadine, the stuff they make Sherly Temples with. Pink beer. It was actually pretty good.
IPB Image
I just through this was funny.

So thats about it. I still have like another 450 pics, so if you wanna see more, PM me and ill be glad to share with you.
As for the vacation its self, I LOVED the riveara and Nice. Soooo nice. Paris on the other hand. I spent two days there, coulda gone for 1 more and i would have been good.

its funny, this is the ONLY ONLY! place in the world where if you get into a car accident, your insurance wont cover you. This is the most crazy intersection/round about EVER!. We went up to the top, we were there for about an hour. When we were heading up, there were 3 military jeeps going around the arche, when we came down, they were still going cuz they couldnt get out or move over a lane.

We were over in France for 16 days, 1 getting to Nice, 11 in Nice, 2 in Paris and 1 going home. It was actually pretty cheap though. Whole trip without spending money, so airfair, appartment in Nice, rail pass, came out to like $1300

you lucky bastard!

i was in france last summer in LORIENT working with Radio-Canada at the Festival Interceltique de Lorient on the west coast. it was a real blast. i only saw Paris from the window of our shuttlebus between Charles de Gaulle airport and Orly airport. the French are really helpful when you need them if you are patient enough to explain exactly what your situation is. i wish i could post pics but (please no BS flags) i had a critical hard drive failure on the crap PC is was using and lost everything. it sucks 'cus its almost like i never went (except for the large deposit in my bank account for all the overtime and travel time i cashed in on).

BTW - je t'emmerde colon d'Amérique mal étoffé !!!
