Okay, I installed new kyb gr-2's and some tein s-techs the other day and when i was doing the rears the bolts securing my sway bar to my rear sturts were seized hard, and i rounded out the allan key slot and basically screwed myself. I decided to just cut my sway bar end links in half.
What are my options now? should i look for used ones or is there a place i can get new ones for a decent price, or should i perhaps look at upgrading my entire sway bar??? I'd prefer to go the cheapest route obviously. Thanks, Shawn (on a side note, i hear a very strange clunking noise when i turn my wheels 100% to the right of left, as if something was catching. It's coming from the front.) This post has been edited by Tech9ine: Jun 24, 2006 - 1:39 PM |

its because you dont have any sway end links in the rear!!! go buy some and put them on, your car is not safe to drive w/o them. did you change or grease the strut bearings?

strut bearing??? would that be the disc on the top of the strut assembly which gets covered by the top cap? if so, then yes i greased it up something fierce. But if its something else... then no, i did not grease it.

you would need to completely cut the links off then install new ones.
