QUOTE(Zimluura @ Jul 4, 2006 - 7:41 PM) the legallity (dot approval) is the main thing keeping me away from jdm lenses and hid lights. if the company making these could get dot approval on them then i'm sooo in. No one will ever comment on the legality of your lights as long as you modify them for LHD -------------------- |

^^ true unless the cop is a celica lover and knows about it, and if that's the case you can still get away with it

What did they say? lol Well, Depo forwarded it to their Research Development department. They're going to see what kind of market there is for this product, and if they like what they see....they'll probably produce them. I told them to contact me or have me contact them so I can get together a petition or something to prove to them there is a good market for it. Update please? ~snap -------------------- Past: V6 Swapped 6G Celica, E46 BMW M3, Jeep Wrangler TJ

Well I sent an email to In Pro Car Wear, and got an email back just like CelicaSTX02 got, "they would forward it to the Research Development.."
I'm thinking were going to have to have someone with a bigger name do it like boosted6g, since he has more of a reputation and say with body styling. But I'll keep trying. |

this thread dropped off for better part of a month? Does this mean it's a lost cause? For some reason I get the idea that "forwarding it on to our research dept." is a form of saying "we'll do lunch" or "we'll keep in touch" but I hope I'm wrong.
No new news? -------------------- |

Im ordering mine from england and all 4jdm's are going to cost me 500 euros shipped. Its not bad cos theres four lights on our cars insted of almost every other cars only have two lights so the price is almost the same exept that we have to buy two sets. Lows for 250 and hi's 250. Its just that you can't get four lights in the price of just one pair.

Ok please don't blame me for the size or the quality of the pic... I just don't have photoshop on my new PC. I still have to install it....
Well but i found this pic of a ST202c in the 2nd edition of the japanese hyper rev Celica Edition Magazine. For me it looks like an aftermarket headlight kit... Others might say they are just smoked JDM... Well why is there a 3letter long label on it??? cheers Joerg p.s i will try to update a bigger pic as soon as possible... DOT means nothing...at least not in NJ or at the Rte 46 and Secaucus stations. Last inspection, my headlights failed cuz my DOT approved Sylvania Silverstars failed. Supposedly had a bluish/rainbowish color to them up close but they didnt say anything about my JDM tails which arent DOT aproved. Go figure.
